Flock List (flocklist.net) is a free online marketplace where people buy and sell poultry and related supplies. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what choices you have. Questions: email [email protected].

What we collect

Account information. When you register you give a first and last name, an email address, and a password (stored hashed — we never see or store it in plain text). You may add a profile/vendor photo and other profile details.

Listings. Anything you put in a listing is public: title, price, description, photos, city and state, breed, and the phone number you enter for buyers to reach you. Listings may store map coordinates geocoded from the city/state you enter, so buyers can see distance and filter by radius. Only post information you are comfortable showing the public.

Messages and activity. Messages you send through the site, ratings, likes, comments, follows, and notifications are stored so the features work and so both sides of a conversation keep their history.

Sign-in providers. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name and email address so we can create or match your account. We never receive your Google password.

Technical data. Like most websites, the site and its processors log IP addresses, browser/device information, and timestamps for security, spam prevention, and keeping the site running. Cookies keep you signed in (including an optional “keep me signed in” cookie), remember where you were headed before logging in, and support the installable phone app (PWA). We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: showing listings, delivering messages and notifications, preventing spam and fraud, and improving the site. Notification and account emails are sent from [email protected]. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising on the site.

Who processes it for us

• IONOS — website hosting.
• Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
• Pusher — real-time delivery signals for chat (typing indicators, read receipts, unread badges). Pusher receives only technical IDs and counts — never the text of your messages, which stays on our server.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with it.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your listings at any time from your account.
• Delete your account and personal data — see our Data Deletion page (/data-deletion/) or email [email protected].
• Clear or block cookies in your browser; the site still browses publicly, but signing in requires cookies.

Retention and children

We keep account and message data while your account exists, so your listings and conversations keep working. Deleted listings are removed from public view. Flock List is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
